The company was formed in October of 2008 by Ronne Roope, former historian and archivist for the Jerome Historical Society.  He launched the inaugural tour on February 14th to commemorate not only Valentine’s Day, but also Arizona’s Statehood Day.  Arizona became the 48th state on February 14, 1912.  It was the last of the 48 contiguous states to be admitted to the Union. Ron had a passion for Jerome’s history, and wanted to share his love of Jerome with the thousands of visitors each year. Tours Of Jerome is the original tour company in Jerome, and is family owned and operated.
